METAL BLOOD, HARDCORE HEARTS

Conquest for Death is a five-piece metallic hardcore thrash band. CFD are based all over the globe, yet we make time to meet, record and tour at least twice a year.

CFD members have all been friends for many years and have played and / or toured together in bands in the past which have taken them throughout North and South America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. CFD have a self-titled 7”, track on the “Thrash Revenge on Skull Island” compilation 7” and a CD entitled Front row all self released on Devon’s label Wajlemac.

CFD have a strong belief and support in the independent underground heavy music scenes and can jabber on for hours about obscure punk, hardcore and metal bands the globe over. Travel, communication, and networking with other underground bands the world over is what we’re about. As well as being on a never-ending quest for fun and good food.

ON A METAL MISSION

subMission was formed in May 2005 by a number of musicians, who have been active in the Namibian and SA scene for many years. The current line-up was completed at the beginning of 2007, when Sakkie van Niekerk joined the band.

The band plays modern heavy metal music, blending melody with power and in-your-face energy, featuring ex-members of well known local bands Pyplyn, Arcana XXII, Obscured and Desert Velvet.

The members of subMission love all kinds of heavy music ranging from Iron Maiden to Metallica from Evergrey to Dream Theater from Led Zeppelin to Deep Purple, from Nevermore to In Flames, from System of a Down to Dimmu Borgir. Oh, and we also like Dark Tranquility, Morbid Angel, Judas Priest, Trivium, WASP, Uriah Heep, Nocturnal Rites, Kind Diamond, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Britney Spears….. this is becoming ridiculous.

WALKING WITH GIANTS

Wrust, an extreme metal band in Botswana was formed in the winter of 2000.Between the year 2000 and 2002 it went through rigorously line-up changes, Stux being the only constant founding member.

Wrust was the opening act of ‘Brazilian gozilas’ SEPULTURA on their first ever South Africa tour in Durban on 3rd September 2003, a show to always remember.

Wrust were later that year among the headliners of the WITCHFEST EXTREME metal festival in South Africa (Johannesburg) an annual metal festival organized by witchdoctorrecords.com. The festival showcased a total of 11 extreme metal bands.The band has also played with international acts KONKHRA (23rd and 24th of January 2004) from Denmark and Entombed from Sweden (16th April 2004).

CROSSING BOUNDARIES

NEBLINA started in 2001 in Angola when some young students returned after finish their studies abroad (Namibia and South Africa). The first members were Mauro Neb and Michel Fio; they developed the idea of having a metal band project.

By January 2005, they entered in studio and after (10) ten months the album was prepared for launch. The title of the album is " Innocence Falls in Decay " and it was presented in front of RNA on January 27th, 2006.

The band also participated in some TV programs such as " Janela Aberta" and "Jovemania"; they also participated in some international shows made in Germany during the 2006 football world cup, in the cities of Hannover and Celle.

NEBLINA is working now 100% on a new album, which is planned to be release in January 2008.
